Student Placements

 

Are you a student looking for a placement?  BBS is able to offer some places to students looking for counselling experience.  Bradford Bereavement Support recognises that students in counselling and related disciplines can make a valuable contribution to the work of the organisation.

 

The requirements for students working as volunteers are no different from those of other BBS counsellors.  They must have completed the 60 hour bereavement training course with BBS.  If they have completed the same course with another training agency, or another comparable course, they may be able to work as a BBS counsellor.  It may be that some further training will be necessary.  The next BBS training course will begin in September 2006. BBS provides monthly supervision, with an accredited supervisor and a range of training opportunities for counsellors each year, offering a choice of subjects and training times.  For full details of what we offer and the commitment that we ask from you please see our Policy for Students.
